High Heels

I am updating this from work.  So, so bad of me...lol.

Topic of the day: Heels.  As in, high heels.  WTF, people...seriously?  These things kill my feet.  Not only that, but wearing them in winter is absurd here, because they literally become death traps.  There is so much snow, ice and slush that you are practically begging to slip and hit your head if you wear them.

I normally try to stay away from them.  Don't get me wrong, they look amazing.  However, with as many times that I've sprained my ankle...well, it's just not worth risking surgery to wear them.  I am much more comfortable in my Chuck's or boots and the only reason I wore them today is because I had to...apparently Chuck's and cowboy boots aren't considered 'business casual'.  People these days....seriously.  No one is looking at my feet when I'm standing behind a podium speaking, and I'm pretty sure no one cares if I'm wearing heels or going barefoot (maybe not that far.  But that's not the point).  Just let me wear my black Chuck's and we'll all be happy, k?

..if only this worked in real life as well as it works out in my head.  *sigh*.
